 Daughters of the King

The next meeting of the parish's chapter of the Daughters of the King will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in the undercroft.

The Reverend Dr. Robert A. Fuehrer

Last week we were deeply saddened when we lost a friend, the First Presbyterian Church lost its beloved Pastor, and the City of Jeannette lost an ardent supporter with the passing of The Reverend Dr. Robert A. Fuehrer.  We extend our deepest sympathy to Pastor Bob's wife, Janet, and his family.

Episcopal Visit

Please join us at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2017, as we give a warm welcome to The Rt. Reverend Dorsey McConnell as he makes his annual visit to The Church of the Advent.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Bible Study

Fr. Vicente conducts Bible Study in the nave from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. each Thursday evening beginning Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Sunday School

Sunday School resumed at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017 and each Sunday thereafter.  All children ages four and older are welcome.

Pastoral Visits to Westmoreland Hospital

Westmoreland Hospital has notified the parish, that for security and personal privacy reasons, the hospital staff will not longer contact the parish when a parishioner has been hospitalized.  Requests for pastoral visits to patients at Westmoreland Hospital should be directed to Fr. Vicente at (724) 216-4717.

Starting Time

As adopted at the May 15, 2016 Annual Meeting, the stating times for Sunday worship services are:

9:00 a.m. in the summer (Sunday of the Memorial Day Weekend through the Sunday of the Labor Day Weekend)

9:30 a.m. in the winter (Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before the Memorial Day Weekend. 

Accordingly, services between now and May 20, 2018 will begin at 9:30 a.m.
